Israel Visit 18 November 2005

We flew all night, and much of the day, to arrive at the home of Eyal and Avigail Hirschfeld, Ezuz, an hour Southwest of Beer Sheva for Shabbat.

Psalm 24:8 "Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle." In transliterated Hebrew, "me zeh melech hakavod adonai ezuz v'gibor adonai gibor milchama."

We rented a car and drove 2-1/2 hours from Ben Gurion Airport, arriving at Ezuz about 7 PM, well after dark and therefore after Shabbat had begun, but Avigail & Eyal had waited Shabbat dinner for us. Such a welcome sight after 30 hours of traveling! (Apologies for the picture quality, taken without flash.)

After dinner and a little conversation we hit the sack, with instructions to sleep in, that breakfast would not be served until 11:00 AM. What a welcome invitation!
